Billing & Cancellation

Mediastilo is operated by Nodebyte OÜ ("we", "us"), a company registered in Estonia. These terms explain how paid subscriptions to Mediastilo are charged, renewed, changed, and cancelled, and when money is and is not refunded. They form part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.

1. Plans and pricing

Mediastilo is sold as a subscription. Each plan includes a monthly allotment of credits (the unit every AI action spends), along with limits on brands, sources, and automation frequency. The authoritative, current list of plans, prices, and per-plan limits is the Plans page inside the app; the figures there always govern, because they are read from the same configuration the billing system uses.

Every paid plan can be billed monthly or annually. Annual billing is charged once for the year and is priced at two months' discount against paying monthly. Enterprise is a custom plan agreed in writing and billed annually.

All prices are exclusive of VAT. Where VAT applies, it is added at checkout and shown on your invoice. Business customers in the EU with a valid VAT identification number are handled under the reverse-charge mechanism.

2. A payment method is required on every plan

A valid payment card is required to start any subscription, including the Free tier and during the free trial. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe, and never reach our systems (see Subprocessors). We do not offer an option to use the service without a card on file.

3. Free trial

A new paid subscription opens with a 14-day free trial. Your card is authorised but not charged until the trial ends. If you do nothing, the subscription converts to the paid plan you chose and the first charge is taken on the day the trial ends. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are never charged.

The trial is available once per account. An account that has already used a trial, including one that cancelled and later re-subscribed, starts its next paid subscription without a trial and is charged immediately.

4. Credits, top-ups, and the spending limit

  • Your plan grants a fixed number of credits each month. Depending on the plan, unused credits may roll over up to a cap.
  • When your balance reaches zero, generation stops. There is no overage billing on any plan, Enterprise included: an account can never spend past the credits it holds, and you will never receive an invoice for usage you did not explicitly buy.
  • To keep working past a depleted balance you buy a top-up bundle. Top-ups are a one-off purchase, are charged immediately, and do not expire at the end of the month.
  • Two actions are metered rather than flat-rated: reading a linked document and grounding a fact in Google Search. Both are charged on what they actually consume, within fixed ceilings, and are refunded in credits if they fail to produce a result. Details are in the in-app help under Credits & Billing.

5. Changing your plan

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. You gain the higher plan's allotment and features at once, and your next invoice is prorated for the remainder of the current period.
  • Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep the plan you paid for until then, and the lower plan, with its lower price and limits, begins at the next renewal. This is deliberate: you are never charged for a plan you have stopped using, and never lose capability you have already paid for before the term you paid for is over.

You can upgrade, schedule a downgrade, buy top-ups, and manage your card and invoices from Settings → Billing in the app.

6. Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (every month for monthly plans, every year for annual plans) at the plan's then-current price, until cancelled. We tell you in advance of any price change that would affect your renewal (see section 10).

7. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation is scheduled for the end of your current paid period, not the moment you click:

  • You keep full access to your plan until that date.
  • At that date the subscription ends and the account drops to the limited Free floor. It is not deleted, and your data remains available on the Free tier's limits.
  • Any top-up credits you have purchased remain on the account and are still spendable after the subscription ends. Paid credits are yours; cancellation does not destroy them.

You can reverse a scheduled cancellation from the same screen at any time before the period ends, and the subscription continues uninterrupted.

8. Refunds

Within the first 14 days of a new paid subscription, measured from your first payment (the same length as the free trial that precedes it), you may cancel and request a full refund of that payment. Contact us at the address below and we will refund the initial charge in full.

After that 14-day window, fees already paid are non-refundable. In particular:

  • Annual plans. You may cancel at any time, but after the first 14 days the annual fee is not refunded, in whole or in part. The subscription remains active and usable through to the end of the one-year term you paid for, and does not renew.
  • Monthly plans. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month. The current month is not refunded on a partial basis; you keep access until the period ends.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory right you may have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.

9. Failed payments and past due accounts

If a scheduled charge fails, the account is marked past due and our payment processor retries the charge over roughly a week.

  • During this grace period the account keeps working normally. Update your card from Settings → Billing to clear the past-due state.
  • If the retries do not succeed, the account is restricted to read-only: you can still sign in, read and export your work, update your card, and close the account, but new generation and other changes are paused until a payment succeeds.

Keeping a valid card on file avoids any interruption.

10. Price changes

We may change plan prices. For an existing subscription, a price change never applies to a period you have already paid for. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a change takes effect at your next renewal, so you have time to accept it, change plan, or cancel before it applies.

11. Closing your account and data retention

Closing your account (as opposed to cancelling a subscription) begins a 30-day retention window. During those 30 days the account is deactivated and access is revoked, but the data is recoverable if you contact us. After the window, the account and its personal data are permanently deleted.

Closing an account also cancels any active subscription immediately.

A limited, anonymised financial record, the credit and billing ledger stripped of any link to you as an individual, is retained beyond the window to meet our accounting and audit obligations. It can no longer be traced back to you. How we handle personal data throughout is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Estonia, where Nodebyte OÜ is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence.
