Which WordPress versions work?
Any site with the REST API and application passwords, which WordPress has included since version 5.6. Self-hosted and managed hosting both work, as long as the REST API is not blocked.
What permissions does the user need?
Enough to create posts and upload media, and to publish if you want stories to go live. An Editor account is usually right; you can keep Mediastilo to drafts with an Author account.
Does it work with our custom taxonomy?
Yes, as long as the taxonomy is visible to the REST API. Mediastilo reads its terms and offers them when a story is published.
What if our host rate-limits requests?
Mediastilo waits as long as your site asks and tries again, so a busy moment on your server does not lose a story.
